Verplex Verifies Award-Winning Philips ChipCongrates Philips on Winning EDAC Design Achievement Award
MILPITAS, Calif., June 10, 2002 –– Verplex™ Systems Inc., the electronic design automation (EDA) formal verification market and technology leader,
congratulates its customer Philips Electronics on its winning the Design Achievement Award, sponsored by the EDA Consortium (EDAC).
The award was presented today to Philips for its Nexperia pnx8500/8525 system
on chip (SOC) at the 39th Design Automation Conference in New Orleans. The annual
award recognizes outstanding integrated circuit (IC) and electronic system design
development.
Philips relied on Verplex's Conformal™ Logic Equivalence Checker (LEC) to
provide independent assurance that its design tools and flows had correctly implemented
the Nexperia chip. It continues to use it on new designs to verify its logical consistency
from the early register transfer level (RTL) to final netlist.
